Pokal für RMW Motorsport in Oschersleben: Fahrer-Quintett zum Auftakt des ADAC Kart Masters

In der Motorsport Arena Oschersleben startete am vergangenen Wochenende das ADAC Kart Masters in die Saison 2021. RMW Motorsport machte sich dazu mit fünf Fahrern im Gepäck auf den Weg nach Sachsen-Anhalt und stellte sich auf dem Hochgeschwindigkeitskurs den Herausforderungen in den X30-Kategorien. Am Ende legte das Koblenzer Rennteam einen gelungenen Auftakt hin und freute sich mit Tom Remmert über einen Pokal bei den Senioren.

„Mit dem ADAC Kart Masters startet an diesem Wochenende unser erstes überregionales Rennen. Nach den zuletzt guten Ergebnissen auf regionaler Ebene möchten wir nun auch hier unser Potential unter Beweis stellen“, blickte Teamchef Michael Wangard dem Eröffungsrennen in Oschersleben positiv entgegen. Spannende Rennaction versprach das Event dabei schon im Vorfeld: 131 Fahrer*innen versammelten sich bei hochsommerlichen Temperaturen auf dem 1.018 Meter langenKurs in der Magdeburger Börde.

Als RMW-Solist startete Linus Helwig bei den X30 Junioren in das Geschehen. Die anspruchsvollen Bedingungen in der Motorsport Arena stellten den Youngster nach der coronabedingt verlängerten Winterpause vor Herausforderungen. Über das Wochenende hinweg fand Linus jedoch immer mehr in seinen Rhythmus und kam zwei Mal als Siebter in das Ziel.

Mit 30 Akteuren präsentierte sich das Klassement der X30 Senioren besonders stark besetzt. Tom Remmert behauptete sich dabei schon zu Beginn als RMW-Speerspitze und stellte als Zehnter des Zeittrainings bereits den Anschluss zu den Top-Positionen her. In den Wertungsläufen legte der Nachwuchspilot schließlich nochmals zu: Auf den Plätzen fünf und sechs fuhr Tom zu seinem ersten ADAC Kart Masters-Pokal und ergatterte zusätzlich Rang fünf in der Meisterschaft.

Jannik Remmert glänzte in Oschersleben mit einer guten Aufholjagd. Nach den Heats noch auf Platz 17, bewies der RMW-Schützling in den Rennen seine Qualitäten. Im ersten Durchgang Elfter, gab der Petersberger im Finale noch einmal alles und sorgte als Neunter für ein respektables Ergebnis. Matteo Carrozza lag als 15. nach den Vorläufen ebenfalls im hart umkämpften Mittelfeld. In den Rennen überzeugte der junge Kartfahrer daraufhin mit einer konstanten Vorstellung und schrammte als Zwölfter respektive 13. nur knapp an einer Positionierung im Führungspulk vorbei. Luca Römhild war seinem Teamkollegen als 15. im Finale dicht auf den Fersen – eine Zeitstrafe warf den Tony Kart-Fahrer im Ziel jedoch auf Position 19 zurück.

„Ein rundum gelungener Start in das ADAC Kart Masters für uns. Bei den Senioren haben wir gezeigt, dass mit uns auf den Spitzenrängen zu rechnen ist. Mit etwas mehr Glück wäre für Tom heute auch eine Platzierung auf dem Podest möglich gewesen. Im Laufe des Wochenendes konnten wir wichtige Erkenntnisse und Daten sammeln, von denen wir in Zukunft hoffentlich profitieren können“, zog Michael Wangard am Abend Resümee.

Schon in knapp zwei Wochen macht sich die RMW Motorsport-Mannschaft wieder auf den Weg gen Rennstrecke. Am 17. und 18. Juli startet das ADAC Kart Masters dann im bayerischen Wackersdorf in das zweite Event der noch jungen Saison.

Last weekend, the ADAC Kart Masters kicked off the 2021 season in the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben. RMW Motorsport set off for Saxony-Anhalt with five drivers in their luggage and faced the challenges in the X30 categories on the high-speed course .

In the end, the Koblenz racing team got off to a successful start and was happy with Tom Remmert about a trophy among the seniors. “With the ADAC Kart Masters, our first national race of the year starts this weekend after the long Corona winter break . After the recent good results at regional level, we would now like to prove our potential here as well, ”said team boss Michael Wangard is positive about the opening race in Oschersleben.

The event promised exciting racing action in advance: 131 drivers gathered in midsummer temperatures on the 1,018-meter-long course in the Magdeburg Börde.
Linus Helwig started as an RMW soloist at the X30 Juniors. The demanding conditions in the Motorsport Arena presented the youngster with challenges after the extended winter break due to the corona . Over the weekend, however, Linus found
his rhythm more and more and crossed the finish line in seventh place twice.

With X30 players, the X30 Seniors rankings were particularly strong. Tom Remmert asserted himself as the RMW spearhead right from the start and, as tenth in the timed practice, made the connection to the top positions. In the races, the youngster finally improved again: in fifth and sixth place, Tom drove to his first ADAC Kart Masters trophy and also secured fifth place in the championship. Jannik Remmert shone in Oschersleben with a good race to catch up. After the heats still in 17th place, the RMW protégé proved his qualities in the races. In the first round, eleventh, the Petersberger gaveeverything again in the final and ensured a respectable result in ninth place.

Matteo Carrozza was 15th after the heats, also in the hard-fought midfield. In the In the races, the young kart driver convinced with a constant performance and, in twelfth and thirteenth place respectively, barely missed a position in the leading group. Luca Römhild was close on the heels of his team mate in 15th place in the final – a time penalty threw the Tony Kart driver back to 19th position at the finish.
“An all-round successful start to the ADAC Kart Masters for us. With the seniors we have shown that we can be counted on at the top. With a little more luck Tom would have been able to place on the podium today .

Over the course of the weekend we were able to collect important insights and data from which we will hopefully benefit in the future, ”drew Michael Wangard in the evening résumé.
In just under two weeks, the RMW Motorsport team will be on the way to the racetrack again. On July 17th and 18th, the ADAC Kart Masters will start the second event of the young season in Wackersdorf, Bavaria .
